Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

ARTICLE WRITING GUIDELINES JOURNAL of JBES

  1. JBES publishes articles that are based on the results of research and research results in the field of Basic Education. Manuscript typed with Microsoft Word, Times New Roman letters, Font Size 12 pts, A4 Paper Size. Script length is at most 25 pages and is submitted in soft copy and has never been published. Submission of the script can also be done as an email attachment to the address: pgsd@unsam.ac.id
  2. Articles written in Indonesian or English with a minimum of 8 pages and a maximum of 25 pages with systematic writing of research articles including: Title, author's name, abstract with keywords; introduction, methods, results and discussions, conclusions, and reference lists.
  3. The article title is printed using capital letters in the middle with a size of 14 pts.
  4. The name of the author of the article is stated without an academic title, accompanied by the name and address of the original institution, and placed under the title of the article. For the main author must include an e-mail address.
  5. Abstracts and keywords are written in two languages ​​(Indonesian and English, except for the entire text in English). The length of each abstract is a maximum of 100 words, while the number of keywords is 3-5 words or a combination of words. Abstracts at least contain article titles, objectives, methods, and research results.
  6. Introduction section contains background of the problem and formulation / purpose of writing.
  7. The method section contains exposures in paragraph form about research designs, data sources, data collection techniques, and data analysis that is actually carried out by researchers.
  8. The part of the research results contains an explanation of the results of the analysis related to the research question. Every research result must be discussed. The discussion contains the meaning of the results and the comparison with the theory and / or the results of similar studies.
  9. The section of the conclusions contains research findings in the form of answers to research questions or in the form of the essence of the results of the discussion.
  10. The referral list only contains the sources referred to, and all sources referred to must be listed in the referral list. Reference sources in the form of recent 10-year publications, journal scientific articles and research reports.
  11. Referral and citing using the caged referral technique (last name, year). Writing of references / quotes must be consistent in following the order (of the book): the name of the author (if more than one word, last name used as an entry), year, title of the book (italics), city of the publisher, and publisher.
  12. The article sent is completed with sufficient author's biodata. Articles that enter the editorial desk are selected by the editing team. Articles can be accepted without repairs, minor repairs, heavy repairs or rejected.
