The population of this researcher was the ninth grade students of SMPN 1 Kejuruan Muda. The subject of the study was 25 students. The sample of this study was the students of SMP Negeri 1 Kejuruan Muda who were in the ninth grade in the academic year of 2011/2012.This Study focuses on narrative text. Before teaching, the researcher gave a test one to the students to know the basic in narrative text. The next meeting the researcher applied practice to teach them. At the last meeting the writer gave a test two in order to know student’s mastery achievement of narrative text. To obtain the relevant data, the researcher used some formulas which supported in analyzing the data. Based on the calculation of the data, it was found that result in test one 67.4 and in the test two was 78.60. Based on the study of senior high school, these students are hoped to know their tendency learning style and be able to apply appropriate learning strategies then the students will succeed in learning. Learning style is the process of teaching and learning in the classroom that focused on the student’s activity or characteristic in gathering information. The objectives of this study would to establish dominant kinds of student learning style in English classroom interaction and to find out the implementation of students learning style in English classroom interaction. This study uses qualitative descriptive method as research methodology to analysis and to find out the implementation toward students learning style English Classroom Interaction. The technique of collecting data is doing observation and questionnaire. The result of this study is to analyze the students learning style in English classroom interaction with six styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, tactile, group and individual) but in this class just have three styles. It can be proved by the answer of the questionnaire that they prefer to choose visual, kinesthetic, and group for their learning style. This research conducted by using classroom action research. The subject of the research was class VIII SMP N 2 Kota Langsa which consisted of 45 students. The research was conducted in two cycles; each cycle consisted of four meeting. The instruments for collecting data were quantitative data (writing test) and qualitative data (observation researcheret, questionnaire researcheret, and diary notes). Based on writing scores, students' score kept improving in every test and based on observation researcheret, questionnaire researcheret and diary notes, it was found that teachinglearning process ran well. Students were active, enthusiastic, and interested in writing. TEUNGOH KOTA LANGSA http://jurnal.unsam.ac.id/index.php/ELLITE/article/view/995 <p><strong>This research deals with the effect of teaching by using Interactive Approach on the students' reading comprehension. The objective of the study is to investigate the effect of applying Interactive Approach on the students' reading comprehension. The sample of this study was 32 students. This research was conducted with an experimental research. The writer took 1 class of Grade X Students of Madrasah Aliyah Swasta Gp. Teungoh Kota Langsa as the sample and the class was divided into two treatments. The first treatment was the control group and the second treatment was the experimental group. The experimental group was taught by applying Interactive Approach, and the control group was taught by applying Conventional Approach. The instrument for collecting the data was objective test and essay test. To obtain the reliability of the test, the writer used Pearson Product Moment formula. The result of the study showed that the reliability of the test was 0.57. The data were analyzed by using t-test formula. The analysis showed that the scores of the students of the experimental group were significantly higher <br>than the scores of the students in the control group at the level significance 0.05 with the degree of freedom (df) 60 at the level of significance 0.05, it was found out that tobserved value 4.725 &gt; ttable value 3.460.
